Teri Ochoa was born and raised in Texas, and has been working in education since 2000.  She has a Bachelor’s in English Literature and a Master’s in Education (School Counseling) from UTSA.  Teri has 7 years of teaching experience and 14 years of high school counseling experience.  Teri spent all her teaching years and first few years in counseling working at very high-need campuses.  Therefore, she has a broad perspective of post-secondary options for students.  Teri has spent the majority of her counseling career guiding students through the college application process (from self-realization, to building a college list, to choosing the school that is the perfect fit).  She has also rescued three fur-babies, and spends a lot of time outdoors (gardening, paddling, and hiking with her Aussie).  Teri has an energetic personality, yet she is patient and very personable, probably because she has been practicing hot yoga for over 15 years.
